Benefits of membership

Over the past nine years, Adviser Edge has developed a strong reputation based on the quality of its reports and its team of specialist analysts.

As a research house, Adviser Edge is very aware of the important role it plays in allowing advisers to make informed decisions for clients. Through a research and ratings process that has been refined over nearly a decade, Adviser Edge has been helping advisers and dealer groups improve their due diligence processes.

In 2010 Adviser Edge has made significant changes to its research advice model, with the introduction of a two-tiered membership: Adviser membership and Dealer Group Plus.

Adviser Membership

Adviser Plus membership focuses on providing licensed financial advisers with access to the information they need to make informed decisions for clients. This service, as in the past, will continue to be provided at no charge to new or existing members.

The benefits associated with Adviser Plus Membership include:

  • Access to all Adviser Edge research reports for rated funds, which are expected to total between 70 and 100 property, agribusiness and structured product star ratings each year
  • Email alerts relating to rating releases, industry updates, project updates, relevant news and information, or any updates or changes to Adviser Edge ratings or ratings processes
  • Direct access to Adviser Edge analysts for additional insights and assistance in selecting products with the best fit for your client base
  • Updates on projects that are in distress or are undergoing restructuring
  • General guidance relating to restructuring proposals (e.g. Timbercorp and Great Southern)

Dealer Group Plus

Adviser Edge’s ultimate focus has been – and remains – to provide customised advice, not just ratings. Having the ability to call on Adviser Edge’s team considerably broadens the skills base of any dealer group research team or investment committee.

Extending this approach is a natural evolution for Adviser Edge. We believe that external research can achieve its greatest benefit when the external researchers are optimally aligned with the dealer groups’ own research capability and processes.

This has resulted in the creation of our ‘Dealer Group Plus’ research package. Dealer Group Plus reflects our view that research houses have a responsibility to follow through and support dealer groups in a more direct manner. Our approach is to do more for the dealer groups that value our input and advice.

Dealer Group Plus can provide tailored advice and support to your research teams and investment committees, with specific reference to your client base, investment directions and historical product exposure.

Through Dealer Group Plus we are deepening the value of our research by working more closely with dealer groups to better target and implement the research. This joint involvement strengthens the investment choice process, minimising the risk of disappointing results and maximising the value of true opportunities.

Ultimately, Dealer Group Plus packages will be tailored to suit your specific needs, and can cover all or any of Adviser Edge’s areas of expertise – agribusiness, property and structured products. If you have no exposure to a sector, you simply nominate to exclude it.
